The architecture proposed for the XXV São Paulo International Art Biennial (2002) is based on a clear strategy of reading and activating the Biennial Pavilion, establishing a direct relationship between exhibition space, route and audience. The project values the existing structure as a neutral and continuous support, on which planes, walkways and spatial devices are organized that guide the flow and build a spatial narrative for the exhibition.
With precise and reversible interventions, architecture acts less as an object and more as an infrastructure, enhancing the experience of art, reinforcing the public dimension of the building and affirming a contemporary posture of constructive clarity, economy of means and conceptual rigor.
