In the center of the site, the project draws a quadrilateral, a meeting point, an internal square. The entire building develops from this space, surrounding it and keeping it as a focal point.
The maintenance of this space with full height transforms it into an internal courtyard suitable for a building desirous of self-reference.
The building acquires the shape of a perfect square within the limits of the maximum projection of 40% of the land area, already considering the autonomous volume of the auditorium, which moves from this main square. The auditorium expands its projection through slopes and becomes a topography on which the main box rests.
The square seeks reference in the great palaces of Brasília as the ideal typology for the headquarters of CAPES, its definitive form is configured after the design of several openings, voids and courtyards, without ever losing the reading of its categorical form, which is softly emphasized by an external membrane of sun protection.
Access to the building can be made at level from the two streets, both for cars and pedestrians. In the case of cars, the project designs a road system along the northern border of the land, with an internal road as its axis that connects the two public roads and allows access to parking lots at different levels, and offering all circulation possibilities.
The internal lobby is designed to become an integrating space, in order to provide the connection between the public roads and distribute all the internal spaces.
The project adopts sectorization in levels as an ideal functional configuration.
