Located in São Paulo, the new headquarters of the departments of Pedagogy and Psychology at Rudolf Steiner School reflects the holistic principles of Waldorf pedagogy and its connection with nature. With 3,850 m², the U-shaped building surrounds a century-old mango tree, preserved as a central part of the design. The structure combines steel and wood, offering flexibility in pedagogical spaces. In addition, there is a terrace on the second floor, panoramic elevators and a library at the highest point of the building, symbolizing the search for knowledge.
The building spans three levels: the ground floor and two upper floors, each with six classrooms. The pedagogical spaces were designed to be flexible, allowing reorganizations as needs evolve and offering greater usability. This flexibility extends to vertical circulation, which is designed to encourage interaction and socialization. On the second floor, there is a terrace that offers a space for relaxation and social interaction, with comfortable furniture and free views of the surroundings. Externally, two panoramic glass elevators connect the floors and offer views of the mango tree and the surrounding area.
The roof has a suspended block for administrative functions, and the library, located at the highest point of the building, symbolizes its role as a beacon of knowledge and dedication to learning.
